Executive Summary

Hundreds of millions of people migrate for work every year, but refugees are locked out of these opportunities because of visa system barriers, the high costs of migration and because employers simply don’t know how to recruit from this talent pool. Talent Beyond Boundaries has demonstrated these barriers can be lifted to create a viable labor mobility solution for refugees. Through our model, refugees earn global jobs and move on economic immigration pathways, regaining regular status and rights and securing their livelihoods and future for their families. We have established networks of employers, governments and refugee-serving organizations including the UNHCR all working towards this solution. We connect global employers with the global refugee talent pool refugees to fill their skill gaps. We use the experience of each person moving to offer actionable solutions to government partners to expand future mobility options for refugees. The Larsen Lam Challenge can bring this solution to scale, permanently expanding options for tens of thousands of refugees to move to safety through skilled migration each year.
